Our Story

The Harb family

As parents of five children, owners Khaled Jarrah and Rabab Harb see things from a “parent perspective”.  They strive to create a clean, safe, and happy learning environment for all children as they grow in their physical, social and cognitive skills. They understand the hesitation every parent has when dropping their child off for the first time and want to make the process as smooth as possible. This is why at Coral Reef Academy they have created a school that fosters a nurturing environment, where all children feel a sense of safety and belonging no matter where they came from.

Khaled and Rabab understand child development very well and know a child will only learn and blossom when he or she feel a sense of safety and love in their classroom.

At Coral Reef Academy, we follow a whole-child approach to education which focuses attention on the social, emotional, mental, physical, and cognitive development of students. Our academic program uses The Creative Curriculum® in conjunction with Florida Early Learning Standards. The curriculum allows children to learn through purposeful play-based experiences on topics they are familiar with from their everyday lives. Children find opportunities for rigorous skill development like counting, measurement, and language comprehension while also developing positive relationships, gross-motor skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Coral Reef Academy utilizes standards and objectives for development and learning to guide instruction and assist teachers in assessing the progress of all children. Our positive and engaging learning environment allows students to be creative and confident, resulting in a holistically developed child.

Coral Reefs are one of the most biologically diverse ecosystems of the earth. Our vision for our preschool was to create an environment where families and their children from all diverse backgrounds felt valued and welcomed.

The moment you step into our state-of-the-art facility there is a sense of community and belonging in an environment that strives to be the top leader in the field of early childhood. This has been the philosophy of Coral Reef Academy since we first opened our doors in January of 2006.
